BoxPower’s vision is a world in which every rural energy consumer has access to clean, reliable, affordable energy.

Our Story

The National Science Foundation initially funded the development of BoxPower’s containerized microgrid technology in 2011.

BoxPower’s first projects focused on rapidly deploying microgrids for disaster relief in the Caribbean, and has since expanded to providing affordable energy resilience to remote indigenous communities, critical facilities, and rural customers for utilities like Liberty Utilities and PG&E.
